Creative Agora meeting in Rijeka

by Urbani Separe

On the 28th and 29th of June 2022, we held our second meeting in Rijeka, Croatia. Some of the partners visited Rijeka (Folkuniversitetet, Lund (Sweden), Urbani Separe (Croatia), Rinova Malaga (Spain), Dimitra (Greece), Pro Progressione (Hungary)) while others (ARTeria (Poland),UNI’SONS (France)) participate at distance.

The goal of the meeting was to follow up on the Kick-off meeting held in Malaga, feedback on national consultations, state-of-the-art, transversal issues (dissemination, QA, monitoring) and overall implementation.

Partners presented and discussed feedback and results from the consultations with target groups and stakeholders that took place on a national level. The aim was to understand each country’s context and review and summarize the consultation process. Consultations were focused on understanding the artist educators’ role in participatory art practice and the purpose and the process of establishing a transnational Community of Practice for artist educators in the field of participatory arts. Through the process of the workshops, partners collectively agreed on the common results of the consultations, which were collected by Rinova and Folk University.

The meeting also began to address the competence framework, tools and online platform management.

During their stay in Rijeka, the partners visited the local arts quarter Kruzna street and met with local artists who shared their experience with the participatory art project. They also visited local community radio Roza.org, where some of the partners were interviewed.
